I'm a Blueberry Girl!

Hello, friends!  I'm overdue in announcing that I'm a Blueberry Girl!  I've joined this creative team of scrappers and crafters and I can't wait to incorporate digital designs into my creations.  Maybe I'll even learn digi scrapping along the way.

I'll be using digital kits and collage sheets from Wild Blueberry Ink and you can find her awesome goodies at Little Dreamer Designs, Owl Tree Studio and Wild Blueberry Ink's Etsy shop.

Here's my first hybrid card ever working with mostly digital papers and elements.

It was easy peasy with "Beach Breeze" a free collab kit from Owl Tree Studio for joining their mailing list.  Check out their site and see what freebies you can pick up! They have extended their reduced membership fee til August 15th so go have a peek.

From the kit, I chose this digital background paper and resized it to fit my A2 sized card.  I picked the sentiment shown and dropped it onto the green paper that I resized in order to minimize paper and ink waste.  I printed everything out on Stampin' Up white cardstock and cut the pieces to size.  I ran the blue layer through my Big Shot with a Happy Birthday embossing folder and used my corner rounder on all the corners.  I found some scrap orange cardstock and used my SU scallop border punch on the ends  I felt like it needed something more so I added 6 tiny blue pearls and then folded the scallop edge in.  I rarely use orange but I think it added a nice "pop" to the card.  And on the green layer, I used my paper distresser on the top and bottom.

What do you think of my first hybid card?  My "baby" brother has an upcoming birthday and living in Florida, I'd say "Life's A Beach" for him.  Now, it's off to the beach for me and the boys.
