DCRU Challenge 29 and Making A Flower from a Heart Punch

This week's challenge at Die Cuts R Us is to create something with a paper flower.  The Design Team used the Basic Grey Origins Collection which is a unique blend of beautiful colors.  After a long, cold winter it's nice to start thinking of spring with these "good-for-you greens, lively lemon yellow and artful earthy browns."  The collection is double sided ~ double the pleasure!!

Here's a tip on how to make the flower shown here.  You need 6 heart shapes.   I used a scalloped heart punch.  Fold each side towards the middle.  Arrange around your stem and voila...a flower is born!  If you don't have a heart punch, you can use any die cutting machine or just cut some hearts freehand.  Nice way to use up your scraps, don't you think?

Let's see your handmade flowers this week!  Link any card, scrapbook page or altered item here by 9PM Sunday night.  Good luck and happy crafting!
