Butterfly Inspirations

Thank God it's Friday, right?!  Any snow where you are?  Our snow is gone and it's actually warming up in NJ to the low 40's.  So refreshing!! Keep warm, my friends!

One thing I noticed while visiting many of your blogs during Die Cuts Us' first challenge of the year was that many of you were inspired to make spring-like creations based on the Die Cuts R Us colors.  As I sat in my kitchen watching the cardinals at our window feeder, I longed for springtime! I miss the flowers, the warm air, longer days and the butterflies.  Of course, thinking of butterflies reminded me of one of my favorite Quickutz dies available at Die Cuts R Us, the Butterfly.

It's a 4"x4" DoubleKutz shape consisting of two individual dies, together incorporating all the cuts necessary to create the butterfly shape. This die works with the Quickutz Revolution Die Cutting Tool as well as with other name brands like the Epic Six.  You can layer two shades together for a monochromatic butterfly or choose a patterned and solid paper for this look:

Dress up your butterfly with bling!  Adhere your butterfly flat to your paper or you can place it on dimensional tape (in the center) for an "inflight" look.

Don't you just love this beautiful butterfly? Well, if you're really missing the butterflies, Die Cuts R Us has this gorgeous butterfly die on sale now!  Go have a peek and you'll see the incredibly low price.  Trust me, you'll love this butterfly die!

Have a fun filled weekend!  Don't forget to enter this week's challenge, this month's new Card Kit challenge  and the Design Team is still looking for a few more crafty ones to join us for the next term.

I just love that first butterfly. :) It has not been snowing here of late, but we still have some on the ground as it has been too cold for it to melt! I am so ready for some sunshine and warm weather!!
