"Cutting the Cheese" with the Cricut Cake

If you are like my little boys, you'd think "cutting the cheese" is hysterical.  Well, I'm not talking about cutting THAT kind of cheese today but go ahead and get your giggles out now!!
I read you could cut American cheese slices with the new Cricut Cake so I figured I would give it a try.  I added a very light coating of shortening to the upper right corner of the mat and added my cheese.  Once you hit "load mat" and your mat is loaded, make sure to use your directional keys to move the blade 1/4" in and 1/4" down.  I set the pressure and speed on medium.  Oops, not sure what size the image is but I'd been cutting from 1" to 3" images.
Ok, well a 3" heart is too big for one cheese slice but it's a nice smooth cut.
Tried a bird, a bit smaller...perfect!  And the robot above it just the right size too.  These would be sweet on a cracker.

There you go...cutting the cheese was lots of fun for us!  What do you think of the Cricut Cake?

Holy cow, Cara...you are amazingly adventuresome to tackle the Cricut Cake deal. I've watched the videos at Michaels and it looks so easy but I just decided I didn't want to try it and fail miserably. You rocked it ...Also I cracked up at the boy's idea of this.
