April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Since many of my blogger and Etsy friends are talented and super sweet card makers, please consider participating in the 2nd Annual CASA Greeting Card Collection DriveCourt Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Camden County, Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization committed to advocating for the best interest of abused and neglected children in out-of-home-placement under the jurisdiction of the NJ Family Court. CASA of Camden County, Inc. provides for a corps of trained volunteers who work to ensure that needed services and assistance are made available, in a timely fashion, to children in placement while helping to move them as quickly as possible toward safe and permanent homes.

Here's more info directly from their site on how you can participate in the 2nd Annual CASA Greeting Card Collection Drive:

Our CASA kids have some amazing accomplishments throughout the year.
It could be getting an “A” on their grueling algebra test or taking their first
steps. Whatever it is, we want to acknowledge it!!!
So, we are collecting greeting cards of all varieties, preferably blank, the
entire month of April – Child Abuse Prevention Month.
We can use the cards to send to our CASA kids to say great job!!!
If you would like to donate card(s), mail or drop them off to:

CASA of Camden County, Inc.
216 Haddon Ave, Suite 608, Westmont, NJ 08108

(Enclose a note letting Shyra, the Executive Director, know you found CASA of Camden County on Cara's blog.)

You also can make a monetary donation to “CASA of Camden County”
for $5 to go towards the purchase of greeting cards!!!
(Send monetary donations to the address listed above.)

If you'd like to find out about a CASA program near you, click HERE for the National CASA Association.
