Read for the Record on October 8th

Children are born with the potential to succeed in school and in life. The foundation for that success begins in the early years-before kindergarten. It so important to READ, READ, READ to your children! My boys have been read to daily since they were infants and we all love that time spent together. Reading brings such joy. Celebrate that joy daily with your children!!

If you happen to have The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle (one of our favorites), read it to your kids today, October 8, 2009, and you can help set a world record. For more info, check out Jumpstart's Read for the Record website. Now go read!

And on a yummy note, according to Mrs. T's Pierogies, today is National Pierogi Day. So if you happen to enjoy a few to many, you may want to consider a brisk walk after dinner. Have a great day!

I dont have any children, and not by my choice, but because of health issues. I LOVE children. I do have a niece and nephew...I will pass this book on to my brother. Thanks! :)
