Make Your Own Embellishment Challenge at the Die Cuts R Us Design Team Blog

Some of you had the day off yesterday and I hope you had a great day. My kids both had school and for Alex it was Picture Day. Even though he wasn't happy about his "dressy" clothes, I told him it was nothing compared to what his parents and his uncles went through "back in the day." Red plaid jackets, leisure suits, polyester shirts with gigantic collars, go go boots! Oh, the good old days. Do you have a funny school picture story to share?

Now on to today's challenge at the Die Cuts R Us Design Team blog! The challenge is to make your own embellishment. It took me a few days to figure out what to do with this. I had a migraine for 2 days last week and it just zapped the life out of me. When I finally came out of my migraine fog, I thought the buttons would make cute flower centers and the "Button Flower Card" was born.

The patterned paper is from the American Crafts Craft Fair Collection from DCRU. I added Cuttlebug Swiss Dots to the yellow Stampin' Up cardstock. The Swiss Dots embossing dresses up any card, don't you think? I hope you'll join us in this week's challenge. We'd love to see what you can create!

Go Phillies!!!
